Health Department says a man in his 90's died of the virus; 45 new cases announced

Just days after Adams County went over 1,500 total cases of COVID-19, it's now gone over 1,600, as another person has died of the virus.

The Adams County Health Department said Monday that a man in his 90's died of the virus. He's the 15th person in the County to die due to COVID-19. The Health Department says that 45 new cases were confirmed on Sunday. They include a girl aged 10 to 19 and 12 people in their 20's. In addition, 14 people 60 and over also tested positive. The 45 cases are the highest one-day total since the start of the pandemic, and it brings the County's total number of positives to 16 hundred 25. The Health Department says of those, 229 cases are currently active. That's also a record. 49 people are hospitalized, and seven of them are in the Intensive Care Unit. The number of available hospital beds is down to 18 per cent.

Adams County's 7-day positivity rate is at 10 point 56 per cent.
