No new cases at the Home in over a month
Another resident of the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy has died of COVID-19.
In a letter sent Tuesday to residents and their families, Administrator Troy Culbertson announced the death. He didn't say when the resident died, only that it happened in the previous 7 days. 24 Vets Home residents have now died from the virus. There continues to be no new cases of COVID-19 at the Home, since residents and staff were vaccinated, starting in late December.
A total of 302 Vets Home residents and staff have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic.
