99 new cases reported Monday, a new one-day record

Another Adams County resident has died of COVID-19, and a new one-day record for positive cases has been set.

The Adams County Health Department said Tuesday that a woman in her 90's died of the virus. She's the 27th person Adams County resident to die of COVID-19. The Health Department said that a woman in her 80's who had died in Adams County was found to not live in the county. In addition, 99 new cases were confirmed Monday. That beats the old record of 84, set last Tuesday. The new positives include 11 people aged 10 to 19, 21 people in their 50's and 17 people in their 60's. The new results bring the County's total number of positives to 2,418. The Health Department says that 237 cases are currently considered active. 62 people are hospitalized, with 8 in the Intensive Care Unit. The availability of hospital beds has improved, and is now up to 22 per cent.

Adams County's 7-day positivity rate is at 15.16 per cent.
