QPD says accident Thursday also involved Adams County Ambulance
Three people, including a Quincy Police officer, were hurt Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident involving an Adams County Ambulance.
Those hurt include 27-year old Dominic Scott, an officer with the QPD. Also hurt were 29-year old Stephen Frank and 88-year old Alice Doyle, both of Quincy. Police say the accident happened near 10th and Broadway just after 4 PM. A report says that Scott was leaving a private lot in the 900 block of Broadway, and tried to cross both east-bound lanes to go west. Drivers in the east-bound lanes stopped to let Scott cross, but he then collided with the ambulance, heading east in the turn lane. That vehicle was driven by 34-year old Donald Hagge of Quincy.
Scott, Frank and Doyle were all taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment. Scott was also cited for failing to yield.
