4th COVID-19 death reported in Adams County

3 years, 7 months ago by Scott Hardy

20 new positive results announced; total now 435

A 4th Adams County resident has died of COVID-19, as the number of positive test results keep rising.

The Adams County Health Department Monday announced the death, but did not give any details. They do say that on Sunday, 20 more people tested positive, with ages ranging from 10 to 79. In all, 435 people have tested positive since the start of the pandemic. The Health Department says that 94 people are actively infected, and that 11 people, aged 50 to 99 are in the hospital. Of those, 3 are in the Intensive Care Unit. Over 18 thousand people have tested negative, including 208 on Sunday. While both critical care beds and ventilators are still available, the County's hospital bed availability is down to 15 per cent. That's right at the level that would signify a possible danger sign to local and state officials.

The County's positivity rate over the last 7 days is again over 4 per cent, at 4.21 per cent.
