Fifth person this week to die of the virus
For the fifth time this week, an Adams County resident has died of COVID-19.
The Adams County Health Department said Friday that a man in his 90's died of the virus. He's the fifth person this week in Adams County to die of COVID-19, and the 50th overall. The Health Department says that 54 new cases were found Thursday. That includes 16 people under the age of 20 and 13 people in their 30's. That brings the total number of positives to 4,995. The number of active cases in Adams County are now at 505. The 7-day positivity rate is at 4.4 per cent. 57 people are hospitalized, with 14 people in the ICU.
Available hospital beds have increased to 12 per cent, while only 3 per cent of the County's critical-care beds are available.
