Jay Schroder accused of stabbing son on Father's Day
A 62 year old Quincy man was taken to the Adams County Jail Sunday, after he allegedly stabbed his son during a domestic dispute.
Police were dispatched at 2:24 PM Sunday afternoon to 1709 Sycamore St in reference to a disturbance involving a knife. On arrival officers made contact with three people who live at the residence. A 39 year old male had a puncture wound to the upper chest/shoulder area and a cut to the forehead. He was taken to Blessing Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injury. A 59 year old woman was unhurt.
Quincy police arrested Jay D Schroder for the stabbing. Officers recovered a knife that was alleged to be used in the incident. Schroder is charged with Aggravated Unlawful Restraint, Aggravated Battery with a Weapon, Aggravated Domestic Battery. He is due in court on Wednesday
