Health Department announces 23 new cases Monday

A sixth person in Adams County has died of COVID-19, and the number of people who have tested positive for the virus keeps going up.

The Adams County Health Department announced the death Monday of a man in his 90's. They also said that on Sunday, 23 people tested positive. The new cases range in age from 10 to over 100. The total number of positive results since the start of the pandemic is now at 536. The Health Department says that 113 people are actively infected, and that 15 people, aged 40 to 99 are in the hospital. Of those, 3 are in the Intensive Care Unit. Overall, the Health Department says that 29 per cent of the County's hospital beds are available, including 59 per cent of critical care beds. In addition, 39 per cent of the County's ventilators are available.

The County's positivity rate over the last 7 days is now over 5 per cent, at 5.08 per cent.
