Accident caused in part by icy conditions
An Adams County man was seriously hurt after a one-vehicle accident Monday morning just outside Lima, caused in part by an icy road.
Adams County Sheriff's deputies say the accident happened just after Midnight on North 2800th Avenue, when a vehicle driven by 24 year old Andrew Smith of Mendon went off the road. They say Smith lost control of his vehicle due to ice on the road. The vehicle overturned several times, throwing Smith clear. He was taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries.
Smith also faces several charges, including DUI.
