The Board voted on four new members Tuesday night, which include State Street Bank President Mike Mahair and Emily Hendrickson of Blessing Hospital. They and Board member Robert Reich will all serve three-year terms. Reich, who was already on the Board, was named Chairman. Quincy Medical Group's Tasha Hiland and Jeff Mayfield, nominated by the City of Quincy, will serve two-year terms. County Board Chairman Kent Snider explained after the meeting why the appointments were made.

Snider says the Board will closely look at the Ambulance Service's finances. Under the current budget, the Service is running on a nearly 41 thousand dollar deficit. That's the fourth consecutive year it's done so. The County Board also approved spending over $592,000 to repair the bridge on County Road 14 over McKee Creek near Siloam Springs State Park, and $140,000 to re-pave over two miles of East 1700th Street.
