14 people tested positive Wednesday; total now at 912

The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Adams County has now gone past 900.

On Thursday, the Adams County Health Department said that 14 people tested positive for the virus on Wednesday. They include a boy and a girl under the age of 10 and three boys and two girls age 10 to 19. The new cases range in age from 0 to 89. They bring the total number of positive results to 912. Of those cases, 83 are currently active. Nine people aged 40 to 99 are hospitalized, but no one is in the Intensive Care Unit. Just over 29,000 people have now tested negative for the virus. The seven-day positivity rate has dropped below 4 per cent, at 3.97 per cent. However, only 22 per cent of the County's hospital beds are available. Under 15 per cent availability is considered a warning sign. 47 per cent of the County's critical care beds are available, as are 55 per cent of the County's ventilators.

Ten Adams County residents have died of COVID-19.
