Will open Sept 24; outside west courthouse entrance on 5th Street
The Adams County Clerk's Office says that starting next week, voters will be able to drop off their early votes at the Courthouse.
The Clerk's Office said Tuesday that they've installed an official ballot drop box for the November 3rd general election. It's located right outside of the west entrance doors of the on 5th Street. In a statement, Adams County Clerk Ryan Niekamp says that the drop box was installed, after his office got a lot of calls over the past several months from people, asking for the drop box. Niekamp says that quote, "with the integrity of the election being a top priority, we have taken extra security precautions to ensure the ballots are safe at all times.”
You'll be able to use the voter box starting September 24th. That's when the vote by mail ballots are sent; it's also the start of Early Voting.
