Adams County at over 48 per cent response; Quincy at nearly 49 per cent

Adams County is leading the state of Illinois in terms of residents filling out the 2020 Census.

That's according to the Census Bureau, which says that through Saturday, 48.6 per cent of Adams County residents have filled out their Census form. In Quincy, that rate is just under 49 per cent. In 2010, 75 per cent of County residents filled out the form, and local officials hope to get that figure close to 90 per cent. Hancock County is also among the leading counties in the state, with over 41 per cent of residents filling out the Census. Response rates in Pike, Brown, Schuyler and McDonough range from 33 to 37 per cent. Marion County leads Northeast Missouri with a 39.5 per cent response rate, while just over 38 per cent of Hannibal residents have responded. Most Northeast Missouri counties have over a 30 per cent response, except for Knox and Clark counties, which are both under 30 per cent.

Lee County, Iowa has a 37 per cent response rate. Keokuk has a 36 per cent rate, while Fort Madison has a 35 per cent response rate.
