County Board to hold special meeting next Wednesday
The Adams County Board may have a replacement for out-going Coroner Jim Keller.
The County announced Friday that the Board would hold a special meeting next Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 PM. The only item on the agenda is a personnel issue, and County Clerk Chuck Venvertloh says that most of the meeting will be held in executive session. The agenda also says that action by the Board is possible. Keller announced Wednesday he'd resign effective July 10th, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.
Keller came under criticism after an Associated Press story brought to light the County's handling of indigent burials. Last week, the Board voted to change the County's policy on those burials.
