15 people tested positive, highest one-day total ever

The number of COVID-19 cases in Adams County continues to rise, with another record set.

The Adams County Health Department Tuesday said that the total number of positive cases is now at 200. 15 new positive results have been announced on the County's online dashboard. That's now the highest one-day total since the start of the pandemic. Three more people are now hospitalized due to the virus, bringing the total to 15. The number of people saying they're experiencing respiratory symptoms rose sharply Monday, and the community hotline received 331 calls Monday. That's the most calls in one day since it was set up. The Health Department also says that 60 people have now fully recovered from the virus, and that over 12 thousand people have tested negative.

The County's positive test result rate over the last seven days has now risen above 2 per cent. That's higher than the County's overall positive rate since the start of the pandemic. That number is at 1.64 per cent.
