MSHP says 17-year old went missing around 7 PM Friday

Authorities are into their first full day of searching for a swimmer who went missing Friday night at Mark Twain Lake.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that the swimmer, so far only identified as a 17-year old, went missing around 7 PM. The Patrol, Ralls County Sheriff's Department and what the Patrol describes as "multiple agencies" have been concentrating their search on the Lake near the Ray Behrens campground area. It's the same area they were searching Friday night.

The Patrol has asked people to avoid the area, so that searches can continue their efforts.
