Adams County Board chair Kent Snider undecided on accepting
The chairman of the Adams County Board's Legislative and Judicial committee has offered to resign from that position.
Board member Barney Bier has offered to step down as Committee chairman, according to County Board Chairman Kent Snider. Bier made the offer Wednesday night, just after the Board narrowly approved a recommendation that he step down as Committee chairman. The move would also take Bier off the County's Executive Committee. Snider says he's not decided if he will accept the resignation, saying he wants to talk with the former Adams County State's Attorney in person first.
The recommendation against Bier came just after Snider named five Board members to a committee to search for a new County Director of Administrative Services. Current Director Sue Hester turned in her resignation April 7th, effective at the end of the month. The vote and the naming of the committee came after the Board met in executive session for over 30 minutes.
