Boyhood Home has a New Director

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum is pleased to announce Mr. James Lundgren as the new CEO/Executive Director of the museum. Lundgren is coming from the Steele County Historical Society in Owatonna, Minnesota where he served as Executive Director for the Society, overseeing operations that include 19 historical structures and a History Center.

Formerly, Lundgren served as Director of Operations for the National Museum of the Great Lakes in Toledo Ohio and Executive Director of the History Center of Olmsted County, Rochester, Minnesota.

Lungren graduated from the University of Minnesota with a double major in American History and American Indian Studies and then earned a master's degree in Non-Profit Administration from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

He has a special interest in early American history and the War of 1812 and has been active in historical reenactments.

Lundgren will be relocating to Hannibal in December and will assume full-time duties January 2, 2020.
