Accused of murdering Ronald Goodrich in 2015 over a debt

The trial of a Philadelphia, Missouri man, charged in the 2015 shooting death of a Hannibal man, is set to start next month.

That's after a pre-trial hearing Monday for Brad Tierney in Macon County Circuit Court on charges of second degree murder and armed criminal action. He's charged in the October 2015 shooting death of Ronald Goodrich in the parking lot of Prime Time Auto Sales in Hannibal. The prosecution, led by a special prosecutor from the Attorney General's office, says Tierney shot Goodrich over a debt he was owed from Goodrich. His trial, which is being heard in Macon County on a change of venue, will start May 15, and is expected to last five days.

Tierney remains in the Marion County Jail on $1 million bond.
