Trial set to start Monday in Springfield

Cameras will be permitted in a Springfield courtroom, where the Curt Lovelace murder trial is due to start next week.

That's after a court order issued Tuesday by Judge Bob Hardwick, who will be presiding over the case. The order, per guidelines issued by the Illinois Supreme Court, will allow one video camera and two still cameras. Live blogging during the trial, which includes social media, will also be allowed.

Lovelace's re-trial will start Monday in Sangamon County, on a change of venue. He's accused of smothering his first wife Cory the night before her body was found in the couple's Quincy home in 2006.
