The city released the list of street projects Monday afternoon, after consulting with the City Council. The city wants to spend $19 million on the 37 projects, which will include five community projects covering more than one ward. That comes to $2 million per ward, and $4 million on the community projects. Those projects include the South 8th Street bridge, resurfacing North 12th from Maine to Broadway and two sections of South 12th, and widening South 48th Street from Harrison to Maine. The $19 million will come from the sale of bonds, to be paid off over the next 20 years. A first reading of a bond parameters ordinance was approved by the City Council Monday night. After the meeting, Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore says that once the ordinance is passed, then the final list of projects can be completed for Council approval.

The hope is that the final list can be approved by the end of October, so engineering studies can start in November, and bids could be let and the work started by next summer. An interactive map is available at the city's website, and the full list of projects is available below.
