The Council Monday night approved the low bid of just over 18 thousand dollars from Trees R Us to apply a second treatment to 184 Ash trees on city right-of-ways against the invasive insect. City Planning and Development Director Chuck Bevelheimer says the trees have to be treated more than once, to make sure there's no infestation.

It's the third year in a row that the city will have trees treated, which should take place within the next month. In addition, Bevelheimer says some Ash trees have been cut down.
