Three people arrested within five hours Tuesday

Authorities in Hannibal continue to crack down on prostitution on the city's south side.

Hannibal police say three people were arrested in two separate incidents Tuesday. In the first incident, 22 year old Shaienne Lewis of Quincy was arrested for prostitution after a sting with officers of the HPD's ACES unit in the 4200 block of Market Street. She was released, pending possible charges by Ralls County authorities. Later that afternoon, ACES officers set up another sting in the 300 block of Warren Barrett Drive. Police say 27 year old Tiffany Bussell of Hannibal and a man with her, 50 year old Wesley Hobson of Hannibal, fled from undercover officers and quickly drove off. They were caught near South Main Street and arrested. Hobson's in the Marion County Jail, and is charged with promoting prostitution, interfering and resisting arrest of a felony, and stealing.

Bussell was arrested for prostitution and stealing and released, pending possible charges by Marion County authorities.
