Crook found Guilty of Sodomy in Macon County

Could get 5 years when sentenced Jan 25

A Hannibal man has been found Guilty of a child sex abuse charge in Macon County court.

32 year old Andrew Crook was found Guilty Friday morning on one count of 1st Degree Sodomy after a trial that lasted nearly two days. A Macon County jury deliberated for four hours over two days, before convicting Crook of sexually abusing one of children in 2015. In a statement, Marion County Prosecuting David Clayton thanked the staff of the Child Center of Hannibal. Clayton said the conviction quote, "could not have happened without their skill, care and dedication to the children of our community.”

Crook could get up to 5 years in prison when he's sentenced January 25th in Macon. He's also due to appear Monday for a trial setting in Monroe County court on a child molestation charge from an incident in November, 2015.
