Dromey, Goodwin plead Guilty

6 years, 10 months ago by Scott Hardy

Couple will be sentenced August 28th

A Quincy husband and wife have pleaded Guilty to a drug conspiracy charge, in a deal with prosecutors.

Kevin Dromey and Emily Goodwin both entered that plea at a hearing Wednesday afternoon in Adams County Court to one count of Cannabis Conspiracy. In return, a more serious charge of Conspiracy to Traffic Cannabis was dropped. Both were indicted by an Adams County Grand Jury last October, after raids in September on two Quincy homes found a pound and a half of cannabis, several weapons and nearly $117,000 in cash. The pair, along with Dromey's sister, Karen, ran a large-scale operation that brought in cannabis from Colorado to sell in Quincy and Northeast Missouri. Karen Dromey has been sentenced in Marion County to a 120-day drug treatment program, after pleading Guilty to similar charges there. She’ll also due to go on trial in Adams County in August.

Kevin Dromey and Goodwin, who remain free on bond, will be sentenced August 28th.
