Arraignment on cannabis sale charges set for Nov. 2
A Quincy woman, thought to be part of an alleged large-scale cannabis operation in Quincy and Northeast Missouri, has waived her preliminary hearing.
34 year old Karen Dromey appeared in Marion County Court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing on two counts of sale of a controlled substance. The charges are in connection with late September busts in Quincy that yielded a pound and a half of cannabis, several weapons and nearly $117,000 in cash. She, along with her brother, 26 year old Kevin Dromey and his wife, 21 year old Emily Goodwin, are accused of helping to run a large-scale operation bringing in cannabis from Colorado to sell in Quincy and Northeast Missouri.
Karen Dromey is in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 bond, and will be arraigned November 2. Her brother and sister-in-law face similar charges in Adams County, and will also be arraigned next month.
