Still present in Western Illinois, Southeast Iowa

Drought conditions have lessened in the Quincy-Hannibal area and northeast Missouri, but are still present in parts of Western Illinois and Southeast Iowa.

That's according to the latest report from the National Weather Service's Drought Monitor. In an update released Thursday, they say that parts of Hancock, McDonough and Schuyler counties are still abnormally dry, as is most of Lee County, Iowa. The northeast section of Lee County, along with Des Moines and Henry Counties, and northern Henderson County, Illinois, are all in moderate drought.

No counties in Northeast Missouri are currently seeing drought conditions.
