Picked up during two-month investigation

Eight people have been indicted on Federal meth charges, after a two-month investigation by Adams County authorities.

The West Central Illinois Task Force announced the indictments Friday, saying that in July and August, their officers, along with Quincy police and the Adams County Sheriffs Office, started investigating several people they suspected of distributing Meth ICE in Adams County. In a statement, the Task Force said that the investigation led to controlled buys and seizures against 32 year old Leshawn Stanbridge, 22 year old Colton Parsons and 24 year old Casey Lierly, all of Quincy. All three have been indicted on charges of Meth Distribution over 5 grams.

On August 13th, 31 year old Kyle Bergman of Quincy was stopped, and officers found a loaded, stolen, .38 caliber handgun and about 53 grams of meth ICE. They later searched two locations and found four other firearms. Bergman's been indicted on two counts of Meth Possession with Intent to Deliver over 50 grams, Possession of a Firearm during a Drug Trafficking Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Three men arrested four days later during a raid on Rainbow Lane in Quincy, 60 year old Everett J Humphrey, 40 year old John Varley and 30 year old Everett E. Humphrey, all of Quincy, were found to have had about 11 pounds of Meth and 8 pounds of cannabis. The younger Humphrey and Varley have both been indicted on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver 500 grams or more of Meth and Conspiracy to Deliver 500 grams or more of Meth. Two other men seen leaving the Rainbow Lane home before the raid were later picked up near Astoria. Fulton County authorities say they found about 8 ounces of meth ICE and nearly 6 pounds of pot. 31 year old Jason Ballard of Peoria and 33 year old Ryan Robinson of Denver, Colorado have both been indicted on one count of Meth Possession with Intent to Deliver 50 grams or more.

All but one of the men are in the custody of the US Marshal Service. Everett J Humphrey faces meth charges in Adams County, and is free on $250,000 bail.
