Will be sentenced Sept 15
A Quincy man, who was originally set to go on trial Monday in Federal District court on drug charges, has instead pleaded Guilty to one of the charges.
Joshua Evans was recently in Federal District Court in St. Louis, where he pleaded Guilty to one count of Conspiracy to distribute meth, for an alleged incident in Audrain County in September, 2015. In return, two counts of meth distribution will be held in abeyance, pending a judge’s order at sentencing. That's been set for September 15th. Evans also faces charges in Adams County of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Meth possession. His trial in Adams County has been delayed to August, due to the Federal case. Evans was nabbed as part of a three day drug sting in Quincy and Adams County in 2015 that saw over 25 people arrested.
He's been held in the Marion County Jail without bond.
