Travis Wiley due back in court January 27

A Quincy man, charged with 1st Degree Murder in the January 2018 death of a baby, has had his trial delayed after a hearing Wednesday.

Travis Wiley was in Adams County Circuit Court for a status hearing, ahead of a February 10th trial. Records show that on Wednesday, that date was stricken and Wiley will now be back in court January 27th. He's pleaded Not Guilty to three counts of 1st Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery to a Child. He'll have a Canadian pathologist take the case pro bono, and will conduct an investigation and testify at trial. Wiley was indicted on the charges in mid-July 2018 by an Adams County Grand Jury after a six-month investigation. He's accused of shaking the unidentified baby last January. The baby died two days later at a St. Louis hospital.

Wiley's in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
