Gregory Flowers of Hannibal, Kelly Adams of Barry held in Marion County Jail

Five people have been arrested, and four children removed from two Hannibal homes, during two drug busts Wednesday afternoon.

Hannibal police say that ACES officers arrested 26-year old Gregory Flowers of Hannibal on a warrant at an apartment on Starlight Ridge. A second person, 28-year old Cassandra Polston of Hannibal, was also arrested for Hindering Prosecution and resisting arrest. ACES officers say that a search of the apartment found a .22 caliber handgun and meth. The search also found two children, who were removed by Children’s Services. Flowers is likely to face additional charges of meth possession, unlawful use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. He's in the Marion County Jail. Polston was released, but may face charges of hindering prosecution, resisting arrest and child endangerment. A statement says that officers also learned that an infant had recently been moved from that apartment to a home in the 4 thousand block of Market. Two other children were found there and put into protective custody. Three adults at the home were all arrested. 32-year old Kelly Adams of Barry, 26 year old Brittney Flowers and 27 year old Jayson Flowers, both of Hannibal, each face charges of drug possession and child endangerment. Adams also had an Illinois warrant for amphetamine possession. He's in the Marion County Jail.

Both Jayson and Brittney Flowers were released, pending filing of any charges.
