Grand Jury hands down indictment against James Riley

A former chaplain at a Quincy nursing home, accused of sexually assaulting two woman over 60 in May and assaulting two young girls over a decade ago, has been indicted on the charges.

Records show that James Riley was indicted Thursday by an Adams County Grand Jury on a total of six counts. Those include two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a person over 60. Prosecutors allege the incidents at the Good Samaritan Home happened May 1st, against a 88-year old woman, and again on May 31st, against a 78-year old woman. Riley was also indicted on one Class X count of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and three counts of Criminal Sexual Assault. He's accused of sexually assaulting a girl under 13, and a second girl under 18, between late 2001 and 2003. Riley was dismissed earlier this year as chaplain at Good Sam. He's due to be back in court Wednesday on all six counts.

Riley is in the Adams County Jail on $500,000 bond.
