A Moberly, Missouri man, charged in Monroe County with statutory rape, will be back in court next month.
21 year old Jacob Buckman made his first appearance in Monroe County court Tuesday on the charge. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office recently posted on their Facebook page that Buckman was arrested October 20 by Moberly police on a Monroe County warrant. Investigators say they got reports in recent months that Buckman, formerly of Madison, had committed the offense in 2014 against a female under the age of 14 at the time.
Buckman's in the Monroe County Jail on $50,000 cash-only bond, and will be back in court November 8.
