Four arrested in suspected Hannibal heroin ring

Reginald Hilton Jr., Lexsys Dowty, Reginald Hilton, Sr. and Demetria Hilton all arrested Friday

Hannibal authorities say they've busted a heroin distribution ring in the city.  

Hannibal Police said on Monday that ACES officers and the HPD's Special Response Team arrested four people Friday morning at a home in the 700 block of Church Street. They're identified as 51-year old Reginald Hilton Sr., 23-year old Reginald Hilton, Jr., 20-year old Lexsys Dowty, all of Hannibal, and 53-year old Demetria Hilton of Syracuse, New York. A statement from the HPD said that officers searched the home, and say they found a large amount of what is believed to be heroin, scales and packaging materials, 2 handguns, cocaine paraphernalia and a small amount of what is believed to be marijuana. Hilton Jr. was arrested on four counts, including Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Receiving Stolen Property. Dowty was arrested on three counts, including Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Receiving Stolen Property and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hilton Sr. was arrested on one count of Distribution of a Controlled Substance. He and Demetria Hilton were also arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  

They've been released, pending review by Prosecutor Luke Bryant, while Hilton, Jr. and Dowty are in the Marion County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
