Adams County Sheriff's Office says driver able to get three daughters out

A Keokuk woman and her three children are OK, after their car crashed into the Mississippi River in rural Adams County Monday night.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says the driver, 30 year old Keela Casey, fell asleep at the wheel and drove her vehicle into the river off 2150th Street. A report from the Sheriff's Office says that Casey was able to get her three daughters out of the car, before it sank into the river. Crews are expected to get the car out of the river sometime Tuesday.

Casey was ticketed for driving while her license is suspended.
