Bill's identical to one introduced Wednesday by State Sen. Jil Tracy

Illinois 94th District State Representative Randy Frese has filed a bill in the State House that's identical to legislation filed Wednesday in the State Senate, that would pay for new construction at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

The bill, filed Friday, would provide about $246 million in state capital funding to pay for the improvements at the Vets Home. Frese says that he's getting support for the bill from both sides of the aisle.

Frese’s measure is identical to a bill introduced by 47th District State Senator Jil Tracy of Quincy. The bills include $16 million for water system upgrades and $230 million for building renovation, construction, and other campus improvements at the Vets Home.
