Graves: Impeachment has brought House business to a stop

The U.S. Representative for Northeast Missouri says that work in the House of Representatives has come to a halt over the impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Scott Hardy has more.

Missouri 6th District Congressman Sam Graves, appearing Wednesday on WTAD's News Round Table, says that work on proposed bills, including the USMCA trade deal between the U.S., Canada and Mexico has stopped due to impeachment hearings.

Graves said that the Wednesday testimony of several Constitutional scholars on impeachment was "really just opinions." Graves also said that the topic of changing how flood waters on both the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers are managed has been discussed between Congress and the Army Corps of Engineers. Graves says he's frustrated by a lack of action from the Corps.
