Consolidated Machine & Welding to hire 30 more employees

A Hannibal company has announced it's expanding, and will create 30 new jobs.

Consolidated Machine and Welding announced Friday that it will spend $4.3 million on the expansion. The metal fabrication shop on Industrial Loop Road plans to buy a vacant building in Hannibal. They'll use that to expand their powder coating, assembly, and warehousing capabilities. Consolidated Machine President Andy Fishback says the company's consistently expanded for more than 25 years, and credits the company's "relationship with public economic development partnerships.”

According to a statement from the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Consolidated Machine used the Missouri Works program. That's a program built on tax incentives that helps companies expand and keep workers.
