Jason Cunningham, 38, held on $50,000 bond

A Hannibal man, charged after allegedly attacking a co-worker at a Hannibal Dairy Queen earlier this week, will be formally arraigned early next month.

38 year old Jason Cunningham made his first appearance Wednesday in Marion County Court, where bond was sent at $50,000. He's been charged with three counts of 3rd degree Assault after the incident Tuesday afternoon. In a probable cause statement, the victim alleges that Cunningham threw her to the ground, hit her, then threw her into a nearby creek bed, before threatening to kill her. The attack allegedly happened after Cunningham was confronted over some money missing from his register. In a statement, Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton said that previous attempts to prosecute Cunningham have been unsuccessful, due to what he called "witness problems". Clayton said he and Hannibal police "will do all we can to see that those challenges don’t arise in this case.”

Cunningham's in the Marion County Jail, and will be arraigned June 2nd.
