Joshua Watkins charged with unlawful use of a weapon

A Hannibal man will make his first court appearance Friday, after his arrest for allegedly robbing someone at knife-point Monday.

Hannibal police said Thursday that they arrested 34 year old Joshua Watkins late Monday night, on one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Police say that a Hannibal man came to HPD headquarters earlier Monday night, saying he was robbed by Watkins, who took an undisclosed amount of money. The victim, who was unhurt, was able to give police a description, and a location for Watkins in the Oakwood area. Police say they were called to a home in the 1600 block of Singleton around 11:45 PM, about someone matching Watkins' description. He was then arrested without incident.

Watkins is in the Marion County Jail on $5,000 bond.
