Hannibal man facing meth charge after traffic stop

William Ryan pulled over on IL 57 south of Marblehead Tuesday night

Adams County authorities say that a Hannibal man's been arrested south of Marblehead on a meth charge.

The West Central Illinois Task Force says they and the Adams County Sheriffs Office conducted a drug interdiction detail Tuesday night on Illinois 57 south of Marblehead. In a statement, the Task Force says they stopped a vehicle driven by 54 year old William Ryan, and that the Sheriffs Office K-9 Reno alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle found Meth ICE and Drug paraphernalia. Ryan was arrested on charges of Meth Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He's in the Adams County Jail, awaiting a hearing to set his bond.
