Lamarr Minor held on $100,000 cash bond, to be arraigned Friday

A Hannibal man has been formally charged in connection with a Friday afternoon shooting that put another man in the hospital.

41-year old Lamarr Minor was charged Saturday in Marion County with counts of Armed Criminal Action, 1st Degree Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Prosecutors say the incident happened at Maple and Church Streets. Police say they were called to the area on a report of a fight between two men. When they arrived, they found a yet-unidentified man had been shot in the upper torso, and that Minor had fled in a vehicle. Officers found Minor and the vehicle minutes later, and say they later found the handgun used in the shooting, after Minor allegedly discarded while trying to flee. The shooting victim was first taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital, then transferred to Blessing Hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

Minor's in the Marion County Jail on 100 thousand dollars' cash-only bond, and will be arraigned Friday.
