Quincy branch to announce results Tuesday

Good news for the Hannibal Salvation Army, as it surpassed its' holiday fundraising goal.

The Hannibal Salvation Army announced its' 2017 Christmas campaign fundraising total Monday afternoon, saying $102,509 was raised. That exceeded the organization's goal of $100,000. The announcement came after the Salvation Army opened its new Family Store location in Hannibal’s Steamboat Bend Shopping Center. In a statement, the Salvation Army says that funds from the Christmas campaign will be used in the months ahead. It adds that in 2017, 650 families across Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe, Shelby, and Pike counties received Christmas food baskets. In addition, almost 8,000 toys were provided to over 1,300 children.

The Quincy Salvation Army says it will announce the results of its holiday fund-raising efforts Tuesday. The organization plans to announce the results of its' 2017 Tree of Lights Christmas campaign during a press conference Tuesday morning at 10 AM inside the worship theater of The Kroc Center. 2017 Christmas campaign Chairs Roy and Trisha Webb, along with Salvation Army personnel, will be on hand to unveil the grand total of this year’s fundraiser.

The Campaign’s goal was $400,000.
