The Hannibal Police Department has begun what it is calling an "assault" on drugs in the city, with six arrests.

Police Chief Lyndell Davis said Monday that a series of drug enforcement efforts happened between last Wednesday through Friday, after several months of narcotic distribution investigations by HPD ACES officers. Davis says that on Wednesday, those officers searched a home in the 1900 block of Broadway. Reportedly, meth, marijuana and a firearm were all found. 27-year old Tyler Franklin of Hannibal, 25-year old Shyann Standbridge of Hannibal and 29-year old Katie Bell of Quincy were all arrested. Standbridge and Bell were both released after the raid. Franklin faces 8 counts, inlcuding 3 counts of meth delivery and one count of unlawful use of a weapon. He's in the Marion County Jail on $210,000 bond, and will be back in court this Friday.

Davis says that last Friday, three more people were arrested after a search of an apartment on Carriage Road found heroin and marijuana. 38-year old Michael Perry of Hannibal faces one count of heroin delivery, and is in the Marion County Jail on $120,000 bond. He was in court Monday, and is due back in court Friday. 36-year old Kacey Wells and 41-year old Jeremy Keim, both of Hannibal, both face heroin possession charges, and are free pending a warrant.

Davis says ACES officers have more on-going investigations, and that more arrests are possible in the next few weeks.
