Takeover set to happen by January 10; patients will be notified by Hy-Vee
Hy-Vee says it's acquiring 22 Shopko pharmacies in the Midwest, including the Quincy pharmacy.
Hy-Vee made the announcement Friday, saying that its' Broadway location in Quincy will start handling former Shopko prescriptions on January 10th. They add that Shopko patient files will merge into existing Hy-Vee Pharmacy locations in the 17 cities where the acquisitions have taken place. Hy-Vee says that all impacted Shopko pharmacy patients will receive a letter from their new Hy-Vee Pharmacy with additional details.
The Quincy Shopko pharmacy is the only location in Illinois being acquired by Hy-Vee.
