IDNR identifies them as Barbara Young, 42, and Kimberly Jameson, 49 of Hannibal
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has revealed the names of the two women who died from a boat crash this weekend on the Mississippi River near Hannibal.
DNR spokesman Tim Schweizer confirmed Monday that the two women were 42-year old Barbara Ann Young, and 49-year old Kimberly Jameson, both of Hannibal. Jameson died at the scene on Saturday, while Young's body was recovered Sunday morning. The pair were on a pontoon boat carrying seven people Saturday night, when it collided with a barge. The DNR said that the pontoon boat had engine troubles before drifting into the barges that were tied off.
The DNR says its' investigation is ongoing.
