Nathan Caldwell to go on trial July 8

A Quincy man, who’s pleaded Not Guilty to seven child-porn charges he faces in Adams County, will go on trial in July on all counts.

Nathan Caldwell was in Adams County Circuit Court Tuesday for a status hearing, where records show that he'll go on trial July 8th. Caldwell faces three Class X counts of Child Porn involving a victim under 13. He also faces four other counts of Child porn, and was indicted on all seven counts in November by an Adams County Grand Jury. Caldwell, who worked in a daycare run by the Church of St. Peter, was arrested after Quincy police got a tip from the Illinois Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children division. He's accused of having hundreds of pictures and over a dozen videos on his phone.

Caldwell is in the Adams County Jail on $700,000 bond, and will be back in court May 21st.
