3rd time in nearly 20 years that tuition hasn't been raised
Students at John Wood Community College won't pay more in tuition this fall.
The John Wood Board Wednesday night voted to keep the College's base tuition rate the same for the 2018-2019 school year. It's the third time since 1999 that JWCC has not raised tuition. College President Michael Elbe said "We are making an effort to hold the line on tuition to be as accessible and affordable as possible.” Trustees did approve a three dollar increase to the institutional student support fee. The fee supports student life activities, clubs and organizations, student transportation, JWCC’s Student Activity Center and all athletic programs.
The John Wood Board also learned that enrollment has increased at its' Education Centers in Mt. Sterling and Pittsfield.
