Accused of Sodomy from October incident

A Marion County man, accused of having sexual contact with a child, has pleaded Not Guilty.

James Keith of Philadelphia entered that plea Wednesday at his arraignment in Marion County Circuit Court on one count of Statutory Sodomy. Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton says Keith is accused of having deviate sexual intercourse with a 13 year old girl, sometime in October. A probable cause statement says that after Keith was arrested in early November, he allegedly confessed to Detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Department. Clayton says that Keith is a convicted sex offender, and if convicted on the new charge, could face from five years to life in prison.

Keith is in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash-only bond, and will be back in court January 3rd.
