Residents can apply for aid in aftermath of spring flooding
Individuals in another Northeast Missouri county are now eligible for Federal help after this spring's flooding.
Missouri Governor Mike Parson Tuesday announced that Lewis County residents affected by flooding are eligible to apply for Federal help. Late Monday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency approved Missouri’s request to expand the federal major disaster declaration to Lewis and five other counties. A statement from Parson's office says that FEMA’s action makes its Individual Assistance program available to eligible residents in Lewis and the other five counties. That program helps with temporary housing, housing repairs, and the replacement of household items.
Anyone in Lewis County affected by the flooding can register for disaster assistance by going to DisasterAssistance.gov or calling FEMA’s toll-free registration number, 1-800-621-FEMA.
